TASK
Re-Design the Experience of the Deakin University Student Application Portal.

CURRENT APP
The current experience had been around for awhile and had only had minor cosmetic enhancements over the past few years to make it mobile responsive. Deakin required a full re-design and more intuitive experience for all new and current students and an experience which cater for international students who’s first language was not english. to add to the complexity of the new design the application needed to connect with a complex back end infrastructure.

PROPOSED SOLUTION
Design and test a re-imagined experience of the portal. Create a more intuitive and efficient experience as to allow applicants to enter basic information upfront and revisit to enter more complex details. The design had to be modular as to allow for further types of applications such as single unit courses and scholarships whilst maintaining a cohesive experience.

AGL APP – Enter Meter Read

CLIENT

ROLE
Lead UX/Visual Design for AGL Energy Mobile Application.

TASK
Add a feature into the mobile app for customers without a smart meter to enter their own meter read and estimate costs for electricity and gas billing periods.

CURRENT APP
Customers without smart meters could not see an estimate or visualised ‘cost to date’ data within the app. The major challenge was to create a UI that would cater for different types of meters and for those customers with multiple meters.

PROPOSED SOLUTION
Design and test customer journey’s to cater for a variety of scenarios and work closely with the product dev team to provide a suitable user friendly solution that could handle different types of data entry and feedback.

ROLE
Lead UX/Visual Design for the AGL Energy Mobile App. Create and test optimised IA structures for a new mobile app using card sorting. Wire frame and test prototypes of the new app design with customers. Create UI Kit concepts and design components for the new AGL App.

TASK
To create a more personalised customer experience in the AGL Energy App and an easy to navigate IA for those customers with multiple residential and business properties connected to AGL.

The existing app structure and IA used drop down lists and multiple tabs.

PROPOSED SOLUTION
An intuitive, efficient IA and clean design optimised for accessibility.
A componentised app UI Kit for streamlined design patterns and the use of cards for customers with multiple properties. The cards would have customisable profile images and a summary of energy costs for different fuel types. The user could interact with each card and be presented with further details of the property. The cards would split into 2 scrollable vertical columns for customers with more than 4 properties.

Lead Visual/Interaction Design for the A.T.O. Tax Agent Business Portal and Online Services Desktop and Mobile Application

TASK
To create visual designs, interaction and customer journey flows for mobile and desktop of the portal features to be developed by multiple scrum teams. Maintain assurance the ATO brand and design components were implemented correctly into the new designs.

CURRENT APP
The existing app had not been redesigned for a number of years. The project and redesign of the business portal was the next stage following the overhaul of the Individual Tax Portal.
